Sussex Squire Wines is small family owned award-winning Clare Valley winery and cellar door with a focus on producing small parcels of dry grown single vineyard Clare Valley red wines. Varieties include Shiraz, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Mataro and Grenache with wines only available from cellar door.
We are 4th Generation to farm in the Clare Valley and our passion is to grow and produce small parcel wines from special vineyards that have depth and intensity from varieties that we love to drink in a style which showcases the beauty and elegance of the Clare Valley. Guided by the vintage conditions, we produce small batch red wines showcasing unique flavour profiles and intensity from dry grown single vineyard sites and the micro climate in which they grow.

The most exciting tasting in Clare
A new, but super exciting winery in the Clare Valley. Not too many wines, but the quality and variety is superb. Each wine has its own character, which means you don’t get lost amongst an endless list of similarities. Brilliant!

Quiet Tuesday afternoon
Very interesting talk with Skye about many things both wine-related and not. I was alone, with her, for quite some time as we went through the line-up of the red wines. Some seemed to be in need of time in a cellar, but that may be more of a reflection of my preferences. I enjoyed them greatly and will recommend a visit there to my friends.
