The Black Stallion Nero d’Avola — Single Vineyard 2025
Our second small release from our Estate grown Nero d’Avola vineyard planted in 2020. As we expand our new plantings of Estate vineyards and finally get balance and quality in the vines, we will release the small batches we produce. As the vines mature and conditions are more favorable, we hope to see the production increase in the coming vintages.
Named after my Grandfather’s legendary stock horse, this is a very personal project and after the first release sold out in a matter of weeks, we have now released our second vintage.
We continue in developing our exciting journey exploring emerging Italian varieties with this release of the Nero, and soon Sangiovese and Montepulciano from our vineyard and one of only two or three plantings of Montepulciano in the Clare Valley. Our estate Monty will begin to develop over the next two to three years.
For now the Nero d’Avola continues to be our main focus and we continue to adapt to this variety from the vineyard and the winery.
