A brand new release to showcase a classic style of Mataro with older vines and higher levels of new oak to highlight the beauty of this variety and it’s quality as a single variety wine. This Mataro fruit comes from a small section of 30-40yr old vines in the Armagh region. The vines produce fruit showing depth of flavour and complexity of dark fruits of blackberry, blueberry and plum with lovely earthy overtones. Aged in new French oak for 18 months to add to the depth of fruit complexity with lovely elegant French oak toasty notes. This wine would enjoy extended cellaring to bring out the best of the oak and fruit integration producing a lovely rich silky wine.
